Our History

SNHDCTA Inc. was formed more than two decades ago when six dressage riders banded together in an effort to attract clinicians to the southern New Hampshire area to help develop and improve their knowledge and skills in dressage. Several years later, local combined training riders also wanted to get involved, so they jumped into the group. Through the years the organization has grown in size, expanding their membership from Maine to Massachusetts. Today, the club is close to 100 members and continues to grow, offering many club-sponsored activities throughout the active riding season, from early spring through late fall. SNHDCTA is a group member organization of United States Dressage Federation (USDF) for Region 8.

Our Mission

The Southern New Hampshire and Combined Training Association Inc., better known as SNHDCTA, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the understanding of dressage and combined training theories and skills through educational programs such as clinics, lectures, seminars and other forums to assist our members in achieving their equestrian goals. We strive to provide quality competitive opportunities for the membership and riding community through shows and group activities. In order to fulfill our mission we continually communicate with the membership, the dressage and combined training community, and the general public, on a regular basis through publications and other media.
